Sad news regarding ‘Dallas’ actress Linda Gray

Sad news regarding “Dallas” actress Linda Gray…. Everyone is shocked! Read full story in comment…

Linda Gray, who played the legendary role of Sue Ellen Ewing in the hit show Dallas, had a life filled with excitement and a number of obstacles.

Thinking back to her early years in Culver City, California, she remembers how spending time with her friends near the movie sets sparked her passion for acting. Despite her father being distant, he always encouraged her career. Linda and her sister had to manage the household due to their mother’s alcoholism.

Linda wrote in her book that her mother wasn’t drunk or mean, but rather lost in her own world, forgetting to buy food, which led Linda to start cooking. Linda and her sister didn’t like their mother’s behavior.

Linda got married to her first and only husband, Edward Lee Thrasher, a photographer. They separated in 1983 when Linda was 21 years old. They had two children together. Even though Linda loved being a mother, her husband became an obstacle in her pursuit of an acting career.

Although she was part of many commercials, it took Linda quite some time to finally gather the courage to attend acting classes.

In 1967, Linda received $25 to stand in for Anne Bancroft in the poster for the movie The Graduate. Little did she know that many years later, in 2001 to be precise, she would portray Mrs. Robinson in the West End State production of The Graduate.

In the 1960s, she received a rejection letter from Glamour Magazine. However, instead of letting it discourage her, she found it amusing and decided to keep the letter. She understood that everyone faces rejection, and this was just one person’s opinion when she was young. Rather than allowing it to ruin her life, she embraced a determined attitude. She thought, “Oh, really? I’ll prove you wrong!” With love and a sense of humor, she held onto that letter. It motivated her to take action and pursue her goals.

Linda started with minor roles, but her big break came when she landed the role of Sue Ellen Ewing in Dallas. She starred in 308 episodes alongside Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy.

Linda described her relationship with Hagman as being like a mischievous big brother. She would scold him for his behavior, but he enjoyed teasing her and getting a reaction out of her.

After briefly being fired from the show for requesting a higher salary, it was actually Hagman who insisted that Linda be rehired.

Linda was honored with multiple awards for her incredible role in the TV series Dallas. She received two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Drama Series and also won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress.

Linda’s son, Jeff Thrasher, continued her legacy and became a director. Tragically, he was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away in 2020. Linda struggled to deal with the loss. She recently honored Jeff by writing: “A tribute to my son Jeff’s life. He was the most kind, humorous, and loving person… he spread love to the world and was cherished by all! May his path be filled with magic.”

We are deeply saddened by her loss. Linda is trying her hardest to move forward without her son. At 82 years old, she still looks as beautiful as ever.
