People called the poor dog ‘werewolf’ because they simply didn’t know what kind of animal he was

This “werewolf” stood by the side of the road for several months and nobody dared to approach him. His skin was hard and scaly, his tail was pointy and broken. What was left of his black fur was tattered and stood straight up on his neck. The dog probably hadn’t eaten a proper meal in weeks, and he could barely walk – but then a stranger decided to act…

A peculiar creature that looked like a ‘werewolf’ was spotted near an orchard in Madera Ranchos, California. Covered in patchy fur, thin and losing hair, it caused fear in anyone who caught a glimpse of it.

The poor animal had been ignored for months as its skin became tough and scaly, and its tail became pointed and broken. The only remaining black fur was on its neck and head.

People thought he was a threat and it was clear he was unwell, so they would ignore him as they walked by.

Fortunately, one day, a human angel thought this dog deserved her attention. She stopped to assist the dog and reached out for help. Another compassionate woman named Megan Bowe responded to the plea. Megan, the creator of Bowe’s Adoptable Rescued Pup, expressed, “I was on the verge of tears seeing his condition.”

He was at the end of his rope. He felt down and could hardly even stay on his feet.

Megan quickly discovered that the ‘werewolf’ was actually a severely ill and neglected German shepherd mix. She decided to call him King and promptly brought him to a veterinarian’s clinic.

King had many diseases, but Meghan and the doctors chose to treat them one by one. His scabies, broken pelvis, and broken tail were the most serious conditions that required surgical treatment.

Megan mentioned that her vet believes her pet was hit by a car, which could also explain why his tail was injured. The injury occurred months ago, as it had already begun to heal improperly when she found him. Due to his severely damaged pelvis, he struggled to move around to find food, resulting in him being very thin and dehydrated.

The King appeared old due to his poor health, but he was actually just one year old. Megan had to isolate him from the other animals she cared for because of his contagious diseases.

Fortunately, King began to eat more and more each day.

King’s health improved over time, so he was prepared to have the necessary surgery on his injured pelvis and tail.

And the operations were successful!

After a period of time, he was able to walk again thanks to Megan and the veterinarians. They helped him accomplish the impossible and stand on his feet once more.

Megan is looking forward to the day when King can be adopted. She just wants a caring family to welcome him and provide a loving home.

Megan mentioned that it was difficult to believe that none of the cars that passed by stopped to help him. Despite his poor appearance, no one was willing to bring him home or offer assistance. However, it only required one person to make a difference.

The world improves thanks to individuals like the woman who asked for assistance and Megan, who was willing to help.
