Jodie Foster waited almost 35 years before finally telling the truth about herself – now take a look at the famous woman she loves…

Even though she was in the spotlight since childhood, actress Jodie Foster has managed to keep her personal life private from the public eye.

She began her film career as a child and has had many iconic roles over the years. Her big break came at 12 years old when she played a child prostitute in Martin Scorsese’s 1976 film, Taxi Driver.

Foster has been honored with two Academy Awards and three Golden Globes. In 2013, she was presented with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 70th Golden Globe Awards for her remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry.

Besides being a famous actress and a director, The Silence of the Lambs star is also a mother of two.

Throughout the years, there have been numerous speculations about Foster’s sexual orientation, and individuals couldn’t resist pondering who she had her sons with.

Foster didn’t disclose her true feelings about her attraction to women until 35 years after she was asked about her preference for men in an interview when she was 17.

In the interview, Foster was asked about the type of guys she likes. She remained composed, but her facial expressions made people wonder if she was interested in men.

She was actually scared for her job. She was looking for the best opportunity to talk about her sexual orientation and she thought her 2013 award speech was the perfect chance. When she got on stage, Foster mentioned, “I didn’t want to make a big deal about coming out tonight, since I already did that ages ago back in the Stone Age.”.

She went on to say, “As I’m being honest here, I feel like I suddenly need to express something that I’ve never been able to share openly before.”

Foster disclosed that she was in a relationship with producer Sidney Bernard from 1993 to 2008, during which time she had her two sons, Kit and Charlie, with her.

Listening to her talking about her private life didn’t leave a single dry eye in the audience.

In 2014, Foster tied the knot with photographer Alexandra Hedison after dating for a year. Hedison, who was once an actress, decided it wasn’t the best career path for her.

Hedison and Ellen DeGeneres were in a relationship from 2000 to 2004. They thought about adopting a child, but broke up soon after.

Foster and Hedison are seldom spotted in public as a couple. They have only made a handful of red carpet appearances together, the latest being at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.

Foster won a Golden Globe for her role in The Mauritanian. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her wife Alex and kissed her while speaking via video from home with Hedison beside her.
