Not a soul knows Maluma in Qatar: they treated him like a nobody.

Apparently, the singer was confident that his fame preceded him. But when he asked the public to follow him with his song, the locals didn’t even know it.
When the World Cup in Qatar was announced for 2022, speculation suggested that Maluma, one of the most important singers of the decade, would be at the opening event. However, in the end, many of the confirmed artists canceled at the last moment and we only got to see Jeon Jung-Kook singing Dreamers on stage.
Even so, through social networks, the presence of the singer was announced in one of the Fan Fests that was held at the World Cup headquarters. Despite the fact that Maluma was expected to cause a sensation among the attendees, the truth is that this became one of his worst presentations. Not for lack of talent, but for the audience.

Several videos were published where you can see images of the uncomfortable moment that some fans of the reggaeton singer experienced since there were those who did not even know the chorus of the songs.
Although most of the people who are present at the soccer party do not speak Spanish, many on the internet have pointed out that this was not an impediment on other occasions for the songs to be sung.
In one of the videos shared through Tik Tok, the singer is seen performing “Felices los 4” and while the Latinos sang and even danced to the song, the locals for their part were immobile and even had long faces.
Another recorded moment shows how the public remains completely silent while Maluma asks them to sing the “Hawaii” chorus. Although a paisa is seen pointing at people with the microphone, he did not get any response, only a few people were heard saying the name of the singer.
