Mark Zuckerberg has announced that his wife, Priscilla Chan, has welcomed their third daughter, Aurelia, with the words: “You’re such a little blessing!”

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla, aged 38, have welcomed their third child together.

The founder of The Meta announced the happy news on their Instagram platform on Friday morning.

The 38-year-old shared that they have named their third child, a daughter, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg.

“Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg!” the New York native captioned the post. “You’re such a little blessing!”

Mark, who had laid off 10,000 Meta employees earlier this month, is seen beaming at the swaddled baby in one image. His wife is seen in a second image holding Aurelia on her chest while still in her hospital bed.

They already have two daughters: Maxima, who was born in December 2015 and is seven years old, and August, who was born in August 2017 and is five years old.

He said in January that he was eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new baby in the house.

The founder of The Meta captioned the image: ‘Happy New Year! Here’s to all the adventures and love coming in 2021.’

Zuckerberg wore a tuxedo and had one hand resting on his wife’s pregnant stomach.

He first announced in September that his wife was expecting their third baby.

He wrote, “Lots of love! We’re so happy to share that Max and August will be getting a new baby sister next year,” accompanied by a photo in which he placed his hand on his wife’s stomach.

Zuckerberg and his wife, a former pediatrician and philanthropist, met in the line for the bathroom at a party they both attended as Harvard students in 2003.

They soon began dating and, nine years later in 2012, just a day after Facebook was taken public, they got married and held an intimate ceremony in their backyard.

Priscilla showed off her baby bump in a New Year’s post last year while posing with her child.

This is their third child, as they already have two daughters: Maxima, who is seven and was born in December 2015, and August, who is five and was born in August 2017.

The couple announced in a public letter that, following the birth of their first daughter, most of their money would be given to charity rather than to their children.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have jointly founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which is committed to advancing personalized learning, curing disease, connecting people, and creating strong communities. They have pledged to donate 99% of their Facebook shares to this cause.

In a 2019 interview, Zuckerberg discussed how he strives to maintain humility in his children despite their family’s wealth.

King asked how to raise children when they could be given anything materially, to which the Facebook founder replied that they should not give them everything.

He announced in September that he and his wife were expecting their third child, writing that they were “Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year” and expressing his joy with “Lots of love”.

The billionaire (seen with his wife after the birth of their daughter, Max) has seen his fortune steadily slip away since he launched Meta, the parent company of Facebook, in October 2021.

“That’s an important piece, but they also have responsibilities.”

Chan added, “Our kids have chores and responsibilities. Mark and I also bring them to our office to show them how we contribute to our work.”

He also revealed that he has a nightly ritual with his daughters of discussing topics he deems “most important in life,” such as self-care, the value of friendship and family, and setting and reaching future goals.

Chan said that she and her husband divide their parenting responsibilities. She prepares them in the morning and Zuckerberg takes care of them before bed.

She also mentioned that August has been coding with her father since she was three.
