The wonderful Stockard Channing turns 79 today but the Grease star looks totally unrecognizable now…

Everyone, young or old, surely remembers the famous love story of Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson in the movie Grease. It was a big success then and remains popular even after 43 years.

Danny and Sandy’s relationship was so influential that many young people tried to imitate their dance moves from the movie Grease. The singing, dancing, mooning mishap, car races, and prom scenes all played a role in shaping American culture at that time.

The cultural trend that stayed famous for years after it came out made Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta big stars that everyone was buzzing about. Newton-John’s song “Hopelessly Devoted to You” was even up for an Oscar for best original song.

However, it wasn’t only these two individuals who became famous because of Grease.

Most of you remember the rebel Rizzo played by actress Stockard Channing.

Channing was 34 when she got the role, and now she is 79 years old.

She recently made an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s daytime talk show to promote her new West End show Apologia, and viewers were shocked by how much she has transformed over the years because of her age.

Channing mentioned Grease and expressed amazement at how people are still obsessed with it even after many years.

She expressed reluctance to accept the reality and avoid dwelling on the number. She claimed to be the oldest teenager in the world. She found it overwhelming to deal with fans taking photos after leaving the theater.

Channing’s appearance drew a lot of comments from people. Some claimed that she had undergone several plastic surgery procedures.

A few comments were like, “What on earth did Rizzo do to her face?!?!” (sic).

Stockard Channing looks so different on #Lorraine. It’s sad that some people don’t feel comfortable aging naturally.

Oh my. Stockard Channing appears quite frightening on @ITVLorraine.

Stockard Channing looks different. It’s hard to understand her when she speaks.

After the Mirror shared an article about her appearance on the talk show, many more people joined the conversation about Channing’s looks and plastic surgery in general.

It’s unfortunate that many women feel the need to undergo multiple procedures to maintain their youthful appearance. I believe she would have aged beautifully without all the fillers and surgeries. She is naturally attractive.

Older women in their seventies and eighties look beautiful with wrinkles and healthy skin. I don’t understand why celebrities worry about aging.

People who have more money than sense often try to maintain a youthful appearance from 40 years ago, but end up looking scary. It’s okay to embrace aging gracefully at 73. If actors and actresses refused to conform to unrealistic beauty standards, maybe things would improve.

How do you feel about Rizo these days?
